Liposuction Surgeon

If you’re considering liposuction, be sure to review all of your questions and concerns with your liposuction surgeon. Remember, you are paying for your liposuction doctor’s services. Don’t be embarrassed to ask difficult questions about the procedure or your doctor's experience. Be sure to find a doctor you are comfortable with to perform your liposuction

Be wary of advertisements promising results that seem too good to be true. Remember that ads are meant to sell services, sometimes regardless of your best interest. Take your time in deciding when and where to have liposuction, and never base your decision solely on cost. Pricier doctors are often more expensive for a reason. Any licensed physician may be able to perform liposuction, but that doesn't mean they are the best

Don’t get pressured into a decision. Just because you talk to a doctor about liposuction does not mean you’re obligated to have the procedure.

Research your procedure and doctor thoroughly, and use as many sources as you can.

While many plastic surgeons and dermatologists perform liposuction, any licensed physician can perform the operation. There is no standardized training required by law. Ask your doctor if he or she has specialized liposuction training, and if he or she has successfully performed the procedure in the past.
